The Western Australia New Music Archive (WANMA): 1970 – today: Finding, accessing, remembering, performing.

This ARC LInkage LP120100685 is a partnership between WAAPA at ECU, Tura New Music, the State Library of Western Australia, the National Library of Australia and ABC CLassic FM. It runs 2012 – 2015. CI Dr Cat Hope and Prof. Lelia Green.

This project sees the creation of the Western Australian New Music Archive, a digital repository of and interface to Western Australian music composed from 1970 to the present day. Hosted at the State Library of Western Australia, its development is a collaborative project between the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts at Edith Cowan University, Tura New Music, the Australian Broadcasting Commission and the National Library of Australia. Heritage musical works and installations will be presented and recorded, feeding back into the archive. The project will preserve and highlight Western Australian new music works and performers in Western Australia and internationally.
